Accredited Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
Our Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Open Cohort Programme has been designed for organisations looking to build improvement capability but aren't yet ready for a closed cohort programme due to constraints around release time, competing priorities, or budget.
This open cohort model provides a flexible and accessible alternative, enabling individuals and smaller groups who are already applying Lean Six Sigma to progress their capability, without needing to coordinate a full internal rollout.
Delivered through a series of interactive online workshops, the programme builds on the Yellow Belt foundation and takes delegates deeper into the DMAIC improvement framework (Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve, Control). The focus shifts from foundational awareness to practical leadership, equipping delegates with more advanced tools to analyse data, investigate root causes and lead improvement activity that delivers measurable results.
Participants will develop skills in areas such as data correlation and hypothesis testing, root cause analysis, process mapping and much more building the confidence to lead improvement projects rather than simply supporting them.
Transforming Delivery & Driving Sustainability: Carlsberg Britvic’s Lean Six Sigma Journey with CQM
As well as covering all Yellow Belt content, delegates complete four additional advanced workshops that deepen analytical and leadership capability across the DMAIC framework.
Key areas covered include:
Introduction to Continuous Improvement
Project Management
Action Centred Leadership
Lean Six Sigma Principles
8 Wastes
SIPOC
Voice of Customer
Process Mapping
Stakeholder Analysis
Data Correlation
Hypothesis Testing
Regression
Root Cause Problem-Solving
Pareto Analysis
Design of Experiments
Workplace organisation
Standardisation Activities
Control Charts
This programme is suited to practitioners who are already actively involved in improvement activity and are ready to lead, including:
Yellow Belt certified individuals, or those with a good working knowledge of LSS
Practitioners leading or supporting live improvement projects
Team leaders and supervisors driving process change
Quality, engineering and support function roles looking to build deeper analytical capability
It is particularly relevant for organisations that already have improvement thinking established and want to develop practitioners who can lead small initiatives and analyse processes to drive measurable results.
The programme is delivered as part of an open cohort, bringing together delegates from different organisations, roles, and industries.
Delivered live online through interactive workshops, structured across eight days (split into four two-day blocks)
Builds directly on the four Yellow Belt workshops before progressing into four advanced sessions
Designed to minimise time away from day-to-day responsibilities
Facilitated by an experienced development coach
This format provides flexibility while still maintaining a consistent, high-quality learning experience.
Reduced Waste and Cost – Deeper analytical tools help pinpoint and eliminate non-value-adding activity with greater precision, streamlining processes and improving profitability.
Practitioners Who Can Lead – Build a layer of capability that can own and lead small-to-medium improvement projects, not just contribute to them.
Enhanced Customer Satisfaction – Keeps the customer at the centre of every improvement decision, ensuring processes deliver what's needed on time, every time.
Improved Quality and Consistency – Statistical tools such as MSA, hypothesis testing and control charts uncover root causes of defects and variation with greater confidence.
Data-Driven Decision Making – Replaces opinion and gut instinct with rigorous evidence, reducing risk behind every improvement decision.
A Culture of Continuous Improvement – Moves beyond one-off projects to an organisation-wide mindset where improvement is ongoing, embedded and sustained.
Advanced Problem Solving - A deeper command of the DMAIC framework, applying advanced tools and techniques step by step to more complex workplace challenges.
Statistical Confidence - The ability to use hypothesis testing, MSA and regression analysis to validate root causes rather than rely on assumption.
Risk Reduction Tools - Practical use of FMEA and mistake-proofing techniques to prevent problems before they occur.
Data-Driven Decision Making - Improved use of data and evidence to understand performance, identify root causes and support better decisions.
Identification of Improvement Opportunities - Skills to recognise waste, variation and inefficiencies, and turn these into practical, sustainable improvement actions.
Confidence to Lead Projects - A structured approach to leading improvement activity independently, with greater authority in discussions and decision-making.
Lean Six Sigma (LSS) is a methodology used to improve business processes, based on the combination of two management ideologies, Lean and Six Sigma.
There are no strict requirements to take our Lean Sigma Six Green Belt Course; however, delegates will need to have a good working knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles. Ideally, individuals will have undertaken a Yellow Belt certification or at least a White Belt certification or Lean Awareness course, as this ensures the base level of knowledge around the LSS methodology is there.
An open cohort provides a practical starting point for organisations that want to begin building improvement capability but are not yet ready to commit to a dedicated in-house programme. It removes the need for large group coordination, while still delivering structured, high-quality learning.
Yes. The Green Belt provides a strong foundation for further progression to Lean Six Sigma Black Belt training.
